My Story

I always considered myself healthy. My BMI was normal, I had no trouble getting pregnant, I grew two beautiful baby girls, and I had no chronic illnesses. But after my second child, everything shifted. I began experiencing persistent canker sores and an inflamed tongue. Soon after, I became increasingly constipated, felt bloated after nearly every meal, and developed upper gastric pain and nausea when eating.

Despite undergoing multiple tests—including a HIDA scan and ultrasound that confirmed my gallbladder was fine—I left each doctor’s appointment without answers. I saw four different doctors, but the message was always the same: there’s nothing wrong, maybe you’ll just have to live with it. That didn’t sit right with me. I knew something was going on, and I was determined to get to the root of it.

One day, while getting my blood drawn, a kind nurse suggested I try a probiotic. She told me, “Symptoms in the mouth usually have something to do with your gut.” That single comment sent me down a rabbit hole of discovery.

I decided I could no longer waste time or money chasing answers through traditional routes. Instead, I poured myself into learning everything I could about how the body works and how to heal naturally. I spent years reading books, experimenting with diet and supplements, and slowly—finally—I began to heal. Along the way, I fell in love with natural health and realized I wanted to help others uncover the root causes of their symptoms too.

That passion led me to graduate from Trinity School of Natural Health as a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and to start Elevate Wellness Within.

Now, at 39, I feel better than I have in years and I’m heading into my 40s with a renewed sense of vitality. My mission is to help others do the same—supporting the body’s innate ability to heal, so you can feel your best at every stage of life.
